The SCUBAPRO HYDROS PRO 2 is our #1-selling BCD at Divers Cove—and it’s the BCD many of our teaching staff choose to dive and teach in themselves.

Why? Because it dives exceptionally well, travels incredibly well, and is built to stay with you for years.

Built for Divers Who Travel

The HYDROS PRO 2 packs down into its included backpack, making traveling with your own scuba gear remarkably easy.

Its Smart-Pack design allows the shoulder and waist straps to fold flat against the backpack, while the quick-dry construction retains very little water after diving. That means less bulk and less wet gear to deal with when it’s time to head home.

Tank Changes Made Easy

If you’re doing multiple boat dives, you’ll appreciate the Super Cinch 2 tank band.

The redesigned system makes changing cylinders quick and straightforward—something our instructors especially appreciate when they’re diving and teaching regularly.

Replace Parts, Not Your Entire BCD

One of our favorite things about the HYDROS design is its modular construction.

Many components can be individually replaced if they become damaged or worn, rather than treating the entire BCD as one permanent assembly.

The modular design also lets you make the HYDROS your own. Add different accessories and customize the look with interchangeable color kits. Get tired of your color later? Change it.

Quick-Drying by Design

The HYDROS PRO 2 uses a quick-dry bladder designed to retain very little water after a dive.

That’s particularly useful for traveling divers—and for anyone who would rather not carry a waterlogged BCD back to the hotel or onto the next leg of a trip.

Comfortable, Streamlined Back-Inflate Design

The HYDROS PRO 2 is a back-inflate, weight-integrated BCD with a body-contoured Monprene® harness.

Its 3D ergonomic design creates a secure fit while allowing excellent freedom of movement. Underwater, the back-inflate configuration keeps the air cell behind you for a clean, streamlined diving position.

Integrated Monorail Weight System

SCUBAPRO’s redesigned Monorail weight system allows the integrated weight pockets to slide into position along a rail and lock securely into place.

The HYDROS PRO 2 includes two standard Monorail weight pockets, each designed to accommodate up to 10 lb.

Two rear trim pockets provide additional weight-placement options to help fine-tune your diving position.

Lightweight Ergo-Lite Back Plate

The redesigned Ergo-Lite back plate is lighter than the previous HYDROS PRO back plate while maintaining the body-contoured design that makes the HYDROS comfortable to dive.

Upper and lower handles also make the assembled scuba unit easier to move and handle.

Customize It Around the Way You Dive

The HYDROS PRO 2 provides multiple attachment points and eight D-rings, giving you plenty of options for configuring accessories such as an SMB, light, hoses and other equipment.

Rather than forcing every diver into the same setup, the HYDROS platform lets you build a BCD around the way you dive.

Why Divers Cove Recommends the HYDROS PRO 2

We don’t recommend equipment simply because of the name on it. Our teaching staff actually dives the HYDROS platform.

We like the fit. We like how it dives. We like how easily it travels. We like how quickly you can change tanks. And we especially like that its modular construction means you’re investing in a BCD you can maintain, customize, and adapt over time.

That’s why the SCUBAPRO HYDROS PRO 2 is our #1-selling BCD at Divers Cove.
