For Jason Ratner, teaching has always been about helping people discover what they're capable of. Whether leading a school as a high school principal or introducing students to the underwater world as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, his greatest reward is watching confidence grow through learning and experience.

For more than six years, Jason has been a valued member of the Divers Cove team, helping hundreds of students begin and continue their scuba diving journey. As a proud father of three children, he brings patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for teaching to every class.

Jason's favorite course to teach is the PADI Open Water Diver Course. There is nothing more rewarding to him than seeing a student's face light up as they take their very first breath underwater and celebrate becoming a certified scuba diver. He believes that moment is life-changing and the beginning of a lifetime of adventure.

He also enjoys teaching a wide variety of PADI Specialty Courses, helping certified divers continue their education, develop new skills, and gain the confidence to explore new underwater environments safely.

Jason's favorite local dive sites are the reefs of Boynton Beach and Jupiter, where he enjoys the incredible drift diving, healthy reefs, and abundant marine life. He has a special fascination with sharks and loves helping divers appreciate these misunderstood animals while promoting their conservation and the important role they play in healthy ocean ecosystems.

Outside of teaching, Jason enjoys underwater photography, capturing the beauty of the ocean and sharing those experiences to inspire others to dive, explore, and protect the marine environment.

At Divers Cove, Jason believes every certification is just the beginning. His mission is to help every diver continue learning, build confidence through experience, and discover the incredible adventures that await beneath the surface.
