Pablo Gonzalez | PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

Pablo Gonzalez | PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

Pablo's journey as a dive professional began at Divers Cove, where he completed the PADI Divemaster Program before continuing through the Instructor Development Course (IDC) to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Having experienced the entire professional pathway firsthand, he enjoys mentoring new divers and showing them how rewarding a lifetime in scuba diving can be.

Pablo's favorite course to teach is the PADI Open Water Diver Course. He loves introducing students to the underwater world and watching their excitement as they discover the freedom of breathing underwater for the first time. For Pablo, earning an Open Water certification is just the beginning. One of his favorite things is taking newly certified divers back into the ocean to explore South Florida's incredible reefs, wrecks, and drift dives, helping them gain confidence and experience beyond the classroom.

Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Pablo enjoys teaching students from around the world and making scuba diving an enjoyable and welcoming experience for everyone.

When he's not teaching at Divers Cove, Pablo travels extensively for his professional career. One of the perks of his job is that many work trips include opportunities to explore local dive destinations, allowing him to experience dive sites around the world while combining business with adventure.

Pablo is also known around the dive center for a few fun facts. If you've ever wondered how a luxury yacht goes from concept to launch, he's the person to ask—his knowledge of yacht design and construction always makes for a fascinating conversation. He's also an excellent cook who makes an incredible traditional paella, and he'll happily tell you that sangria isn't the authentic everyday drink many people think it is in Spain!

Underwater, Pablo trusts his favorite setup: a Zeagle Stiletto BCD paired with an Atomic B2 regulator, equipment he relies on during every adventure.

Whether he's helping someone earn their first certification, leading fun dives across South Florida, or sharing stories from his travels, Pablo's goal is to help every diver build confidence, continue exploring, and fall in love with the ocean.
