July 5th: Lady Luck Wreck and Reef Dive
Lady Luck Wreck & Reef Adventure
Explore One of South Florida's Premier Artificial Reefs
Experience one of Fort Lauderdale's most iconic dives aboard a Divers Cove charter to the Lady Luck, a 324-foot former tanker intentionally sunk in 2016 to create a thriving artificial reef and world-class dive site.
Resting upright in approximately 120 feet (37 m) of water, the Lady Luck has quickly become home to an incredible diversity of marine life. As you descend, you'll be greeted by towering superstructures, expansive swim-through views, schools of tropical fish, goliath grouper, barracuda, turtles, and the occasional eagle ray or reef shark cruising by.
Following your wreck dive, we'll head to one of Fort Lauderdale's beautiful natural reefs for a relaxing second dive. Explore vibrant coral formations, colorful reef fish, spiny lobsters, moray eels, and countless macro critters while enjoying a longer bottom time in shallower water.
To enjoy this charter safely, Divers Cove recommends:
-
Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
-
Enriched Air (Nitrox) certification required for increased bottom time
-
Wreck Diver certification recommended for those interested in learning more about wreck diving techniques
Penetration of the wreck is only permitted for divers appropriately trained and certified in accordance with agency standards.
