What Makes Tenneco Towers Special: Considered by many to be Fort Lauderdale's most spectacular artificial reef, Tenneco Towers was sunk October 3, 1985, by the Tenneco Oil Company. This decommissioned oil platform traveled 950 miles from the Gulf of Mexico before being deployed in three sections.
